Society for Conservation of Forests in India (SCF India) stands for:

• Protecting the tiger without disadvantageous consequences for the local population;
• Ensure that the local population is less dependent on the jungle by income generation projects;
• Awareness of the importance of nature through nature and environmental education
• Working with people and companies by using their ambitions and expertise.

We commit ourselves to create better living conditions for the local people and animals living in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) in central India. Because people and nature are directly linked to each other, SCF India finds it very important to make the local population aware of the importance of nature and give them alternative possibilities on income.
